Warhol’s largest work will be at the heart of this exhibition: an enormous installation that is over 700 square meters and 130 meters long, presented for the first time outside the USA.

Focus on the Parisian village of Montmartre
Long lovely alleyways, cozy little cafes, adorable bourgeois houses, charming little souvenirs shops… Montmartre is an absolute beauty. This district has charm, history, character – It is a true representation of what Paris is, and at the same time, it is unlike anywhere else in the capital.
We don’t call it the “cultural quarter” of the city for nothing. Montmartre was the Paris of Edith Piaf, Josephine Baker, Le Corbusier, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas and Langston Hughes! But if today they’ve all moved on, Montmartre still holds their souls.
Montmartre is first of all renowned for the marvellous Sacré-Coeur Basilica, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Paris. But there is much more to discover in this magic district, some truly amazing and secret places away from the crowds, such as the Moulin Rouge, where the popular French “Can Can” was founded, the famous Café des Deux Moulins where the film “Amélie Poulain” was filmed, the house of Van Gogh and his brother Théo, the last windmills in Paris, the prestigious Avenue Junot, the Passe-Muraille, the delightful Jardin Sauvage Saint Vincent, the Place Dalida close to the Château des Brouillards, where you can find a life size bronze statue of the Egyptian star, the last vineyard of the capital, one of the oldest cabaret, Au Lapin Agile, where Picasso exchanged his paintings for foods, the Parc des Turlures and the artists’ square at Place du Tertre.
You will also find in Montmartre unique places where to eat. The Hotel Particulier, located at Avenue Junot, serves French creative cuisine with traditional gourmet in a quiet and intimate ambiance. The interior dining room has a lot of charm but the best way to appreciate this venue is by sitting in its lovely garden. The restaurant Chamarée is another destination that you shouldn’t miss! Chef Antoine Heerah combines perfectly French and Mauritian gastronomy and creates surprising tastes. The restaurant also has one of the most beautiful terraces of Paris.
Moreover, Montmartre celebrates each year the Fête des Vendanges. From 7th to 11th October 2015 a parade will take place in Montmartre’s streets, with samba dancers, musicians, groups representing brotherhoods or societies, and end with wonderful fireworks.
